This page describes what personal data and technical information the RECONNECT website may process, for what purposes, on what legal basis, and what rights you have as a visitor to the site.

What Data We Process

If you enter your email address in the newsletter form, we process your email address and the URL of the page from which you signed up, for the purpose of confirming your subscription and sending news about the festival and conference. The legal basis is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR, which you may withdraw at any time.

We manage the newsletter using the Kit service. Upon submission of the form, Kit may process the email address, subscription information, and technical data necessary for delivering the confirmation, unsubscribing, and sending newsletters.

Email Communication

If you contact us by email, we process the information contained in the message, typically your email address, name, and the content of your enquiry. The purpose is to handle your message. The legal basis is the legitimate interest of the controller, or preparation for a potential collaboration or contract.

Technical Operation of the Website

When you visit the website, technical logs may be generated that are necessary for the security, availability, and diagnostics of the site, for example, IP address, browser type, time of request, and URL. The legal basis is the legitimate interest in the secure and reliable operation of the website.

Cookies and Local Storage

This website does not use analytical, advertising, or marketing cookies. We use only technical cookies or similar local storage that are necessary for the basic functioning of the website and for remembering the dismissal of the information banner. No consent is required for this technical storage; we are informing you of it through this page nonetheless.

Retention Periods

The newsletter email address is retained until consent is withdrawn or the newsletter is discontinued. Email correspondence is retained for as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and protect legal claims. Technical operational logs are retained only for as long as necessary for security and site management. Information about the dismissal of the cookie banner remains in your browser until you delete it or until we update the banner version.

Recipients and Data Transfers

Data may be processed by hosting and technical website management providers, and following newsletter sign-up by the newsletter distribution service Kit. We do not sell data or use it for profiling. Where processing involves transfers outside the EU/EEA, these take place on the basis of appropriate legal safeguards, in particular the contractual terms and data processing clauses of Kit.

Your Rights

You have the right to request access to your personal data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and to object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you have the right to withdraw that consent at any time. You may unsubscribe from the newsletter via the unsubscribe link in any email, or by contacting the controller. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office for Personal Data Protection.

This website does not carry out automated decision-making or profiling. Providing a newsletter email address is not a statutory or contractual requirement; without it, we are simply unable to send you the newsletter.
